"Does it look like i care?"
Appearance:
Zephyr Woods is twenty-one years old. He is quite tall at about six foot three, and is also rather well built. He tends to stick to wearing dark coloured clothing and is almost always found carrying a leather jacket around. Zephyr’s hair is fairly short and is a dark brown colour. One of the only colourful things you will find about Zephyr is his piercing blueish grey gaze, however most of the time he sticks to wearing black aviators to block out the intense light. Overall he appears to always be impassive about everything, very rarely showing any emotion even though he does have a soul buried somewhere deep inside. The insignia mark that was forced upon him is unfortunately found right on his side, burned into the flesh covering his ribcage.
Personality:
Zephyr doesn’t really care about anyone or anything. He kind of lost the ability to care when everything he loved was ripped away from him. He is no cold-blooded murderer, but if killing someone or something is in his benefit, then he wouldn’t think twice about it. Zephyr is wickedly smart, he always has been, but he isn’t one to brag. He hardly ever gets insulted and if someone insults him he will only reply if it really matters and it will get him somewhere, but when he does, you better expect a witty remark. To most people it would seem like he thinks he is better than everyone else, and that tends to make people dislike him. However that isn’t always the case. Zephyr just doesn’t see the point in speaking to others if it’s not in his best interest. Like his sister, he has a way with words, and will almost always get what he wants. If there was one thing left on the planet that he actually may care for, it would be Thalia, his sister. However that is kind of asking for a lot.
History:
Zephyr Woods used to be a very friendly, popular guy. He and his sister had left home and moved to Mapleridge for university, where he used to be invited to all the parties, and go on lots of dates, but after the calling, that all changed. Zephyr always seemed to get in quite lot of trouble, especially when it came to the police and his habit to break the law, so it was no surprise really that he developed a gift that would involve his quick wits and the perfect way to talk himself out of any situation.
The calling that he and his sister got dragged into came a while back. It was one night when the two of them were out conquering the universe with their best friend that they were caught. Zeph and Tali had always been thick as thieves and would constantly be by each other's sides with Sam, their best friend, not far behind. The night that they had been caught was when they were running away from the cops after vandalizing the property of Tali’s ex who had cheated on her. It all happened so fast, out of nowhere a car pulled out in front of them and Sam was hit. Zeph and Tali refused to leave his side and tried to pull him away from the wreckage, but the police had caught up to them.
From that point onwards it was all kind of a blur. Zeph had been thrown on the ground and the police were trying to handcuff him as profanities and lies came out of his mouth. In the end, there was actually no proof that Zeph or Tali had committed the crime, so they were released, but Sam never made it, and that crushed Zephyr. He was never the same again, and he and Tali began to drift apart.
When the calling came, it was the last straw from Zephyr. The man that he had once been was gone, and the shell of who he had once been remained. Tali went through the same process as he, and that was the last thing he saw of her. After he recovered from the pain and shock of the calling, he just got up and left his sister there before disappearing into the night. Zephyr doesn’t really belong anywhere, he doesn’t live with the gifted, but he is gifted. Whatever he does is always done in his own best interest, whether that be helping the seekers out, or saving a gifted from their clutches. The only things that he actually seems motivated enough to do is hunt the Reapers. The rush of adrenaline or pain he gets from wounds seem to be the only thing that reminds him that he is still human, that he is not a reaper.

Abilities:
Zephyr has the gift of compulsion. If he tells someone to do something, then they will do it. While most people would abuse his gift, Zephyr only really uses it if he needs to. Like everything, if it is in his best interest, then he will use it, if not, then it is just a hindrance. His gift works on mostly anyone unless that person has a gift that involves some sort of mental ability. The only way his gift will fail is if he is took weak to concentrate. However if he tells someone to do something, like kill their brother, then they can be snapped out of it with a lot of convincing by that brother. If someone wanted to weaken Zephyr, then the best way to do so would be to drug him, or gag him of course. Without a tongue he couldn’t speak.
