General Rules
Respect: It is expected that you will extend the same kindness and respect towards your peers as you would like shown to you. Here at We are Gifted our desire is to promote a friendly, safe community. Therefore, we have a zero tolerance for bullying. Bullying may result in an immediate ban...you've been warned.
Staff Word is the Law: Simple as that. What we say goes. If a staff politely asks you to do something or not do something, don't make a fuss about it, just do it.
Proboard's Terms of Service Applies Here: If you're unfamiliar with these rules, you may brush up on them here. Basically, this site must remain at a PG-13 level. There is to be no swearing, sexual, or drug-related/promoting content on the site whether it be within rp or in pms. Mild swearing is permissible in character, but don't overdo it.
You must have one account per character: This means that for each character you create, you must also create a separate forum account for that Character. Be sure to respond to IC posts with your correct character account to avoid confusion. Name your account your Character's first and last name please.
Character Acceptance: You must have had your character approved by a staff member before you may begin roleplaying. We will be sure to review your application as soon as possible, but please don't badger the staff about it.
Absence: If you're going to be away, please post in the Absence/Leaving board. If you've been inactive for two weeks without notice, your characters will be archived.
No Word Count: We are Gifted currently has no word count. However, please don't use this as an excuse to write one-liners. Give whoever you're roleplaying with something decent they can respond to.
In Character Rules
No God-moding, Power Playing or Meta-gaming: You cannot move, speak for, or play anyone else's characters without their consent. Your characters are not all-powerful or perfect. They do have weaknesses and not only when it's convenient. Lastly, if you obtain information about something in OOC, your characters can't magically obtain it IC as well.
Literacy: Unless it is within context, please don't use chatspeak In Character. When posting, proper grammar and punctuation are required.
Be 'realistic' with your gifts: If your character has a special ability, there will always be drawbacks. For example, the Flash can move at incredible speed but as a result has to keep himself continually hydrated,well-fed,etc. Similarly, if your character can read minds they'd likely find themselves under continuous stress, or avoid crowded places. Don't overlook the potential of your character's abilities and impending flaws.
Plotting: Plotting and character development are both strongly encouraged! However, please keep in mind that the site does have a main plot. If you're unsure as to whether or not your plot will affect the main plot, feel free to ask the staff.
One Gift Policy: Characters may only have ONE gift each. If your ability is too OP, you will be asked to change it or to reduce it's potency.

Character Images: For Faceclaims feel free to use anime face claims, digital art face claims, or real life face claims.
