    Maeve is about five feet in height. She’s a fit person with a slim build. Her hair is a light, blonde color, that falls a couple inches past her shoulders. She has bangs that stop just about eye-level. Maeve’s eyes are a soft, light blue and are nice and round. She’s got a brilliant, warm smile, and friendly-looking eyes. Maeve has a soft, pink tint to her cheeks and nose that only gets pinker when she becomes embarrassed or upset. More often than not, Maeve can be found wearing long-sleeved shirts, even in the summer. She usually is either wearing jeans or a skirt as well. Her hair is always neatly brushed and she, nine out of ten times, looks put together. The insignia mark given to all gifted is ingrained in her left shoulder, so it isn’t a problem for her to keep covered up unless she wants to go swimming or something of that nature.

Personality:

    Maeve is a very sweet, innocent girl. She’s very gentle and hardly ever gets angry. However, she can, on occasion, overreact. Maeve is rather naive and doesn’t understand sarcasm terribly well. She loves to help people, always running around and doing things for others that she doesn’t have to do. She will always go the extra mile to help someone else or to make them feel happier. Being that she’s so willing to help others, Maeve is not terribly shy, and feels perfectly fine with talking to strangers. She isn’t very patient, and prefers to move along unless she gets distracted, which happens often. Some might call her spunky or bubbly, but others can find her to be extremely annoying and nosy. She can’t stand to be yelled at or insulted and takes those sorts of experiences to heart. If she isn’t busy chatting up a storm, she’s probably upset about something. Maeve absolutely adores ice cream with a burning passion. It always seems to make her feel better when she’s down or brighten her mood. Even though Maeve can be very silly and a little ditzy, she’s incredibly school smart, very knowledgable about school related subjects. She is also extremely loyal, making her a reliable friend despite how sensitive she can be.

History:

    When she was young, about five, Maeve was in the car with her mother, driving home after work during a snow storm. They were heading down a road, taking the long way home to avoid the traffic, when suddenly a large truck came out of nowhere, breaking through the sheets of snow, slamming head on into the front of their minivan. The driver of the truck claimed he simply couldn’t see through the massive of snow falling. As a result, Maeve’s mother was crushed to death in the front of the van, leaving Maeve without a mother. Maeve, by some miracle, was overall unharmed beside a few cuts and bruises.
    After the accident, Maeve’s father moved to Mapleridge, bringing little Maeve with him. Her father was heartbroken and sad, but he had his daughter to care for, so he did so to the absolute best of his ability. Thanks to his careful fathering, Maeve graduated early from high school, having learned so much from her dad outside of regular schooling. Now she stays at home, taking online college courses, and working in her free time at Ratio as a barista to make some cash.
    When The Calling occurred, Maeve was one of those to gain the insignia. She has, since then, been doing her very best to keep her gift under wraps, although it is difficult seeing as she works around metal and her gift is ferrokinesis.

Abilities:

Maeve is a gentle person, however her gift is not exactly in her control just yet. Three months after The Calling and Maeve is still having difficulty controlling her ferrokinesis. This ability of hers is to manipulate metal. Any form of metal, Maeve can bend it, shape it, move it just by using her mind. It terrifies Maeve, the metal, as it reminds her of the heap of metal that crushed her mother to death. So, she hates to use it. Every time she sees metal move unnaturally and knows she is the cause, she is reminded of that horrific accident.
